7 Tips to Make the Most of Your E-Liquid

Vaping is usually an activity that includes inhaling a quality e-liquid that you chose, enjoying the taste, and seeing the dense vaping clouds you create while exhaling. With that in mind, losing the flavor and not getting those dense clouds you dreamed of can definitely be annoying. So, if you want to make sure you get the most of your e-liquid, consider trying some of these tips.

  1. Clean your vaping device

If you are experiencing a lack of flavor when vaping, or if you feel that the flavors are getting mixed, the problem might be in the cleanliness of your vaporizer. At least once a week, you should clean your device. Take it apart, wash the tank under warm water, and let it dry naturally — or dry it with a clean cloth.

Don’t forget to also wipe away the other parts. This should help, especially if you prefer using more than one different flavor — all the different flavors can create an unpleasant taste in your mouth when they get mixed.

  1. Change your coils

The main problem with flavor loss usually lies in the coils that are in dire need of change. Coils are dispensable, and they have to be changed at least once a month to ensure the best experience possible. If you are using different flavors, or a higher VG level e-liquid, you might need to change your coils more often to get the best taste and smoke.

  1. Try another flavor

Although you probably have an e-liquid flavor that you love, it might be the time to try something new. The thing is, when you are vaping just one kind of e-liquid, your tongue eventually gets used to it, and the taste feels weaker to you. This problem is called the Vaper’s tongue. It can be partially treated by drinking more water while vaping, to rehydrate and cleanse your mouth, but it’s not always enough.

If you are not keen on changing your favorite flavor forever, consider trying something new just for a little bit. This will let your tongue reset and enjoy the flavor you prefer once more. Plus, if you get quality E juice, you are more likely to enjoy the new flavor.

  1. Keep your e-liquid safe

Some people think e-liquids can be kept anywhere and have almost no expiration date. However, e-liquids are very prone to changing their texture and taste if they are left under direct sunlight or kept in warm places.

The best spot for keeping your e-liquid might actually be the fridge — the liquid retains the best properties when kept in a dark and cold place. Additionally, pay attention to the expiration date, since an expired e-liquid can damage both your health and your device.

  1. Check your e-liquid PG/VG levels

If you feel that your flavor profile is not right or that your cloud is not thick enough, you should check your e-liquid’s PG and VG levels

PG (propylene glycol) is thinner, better absorbed, and gives you the best flavor profile possible. VG (vegetable glycerin), on the other hand, is thicker, sweeter, and more likely to give you those cool clouds of steam.

Even though those clouds may be fun to look at, most people still care more about the flavor than about the appearance. All in all, try using e-liquid with at least one-half PG in order to enjoy the flavor at its best

  1. Experiment with your wattage

The wattage of each device is different — and different wattages can help you achieve different flavors, as well as bring different segments of your e-juice to the spotlight. First of all, you should check the wattage that is recommended on your device, and try not going over it. Then, try experimenting by starting from the lowest wattage and going up to figure out the best combination between your e-liquid and device.

In some devices, the best wattage may be 40, while in others, it is closer to 50. This also depends on the e-liquids that you use. Fruitier e-liquids may not provide the best flavor if your wattage (and thus your temperature) is too high. The only way to find out what works best for you, your device, and your e-liquid, is by experimenting.

  1. Experiment with airflow

Similar to wattage, airflow can also be changed to provide the experience suited to your needs. If you want to get bigger clouds, consider increasing your airflow. However, if you are more interested in flavor, you should decrease your airflow. Once again, the best thing to do would be to try experimenting with your airflow.

In the vaping world, there is no one-size-fits-all routine. Not all vaporizers are the same, not all e-liquids have the same quality and taste, and not all people want the same results. With that in mind, follow the tips, experiment with both your vaporizer and e-liquid, and the results are guaranteed to show.
