Electric or Manual Head Shaver?

When deciding on using an electric head shaver you must first figure out how close you prefer to shave your head. An electric head shaver is generally not going to give you as close a shave as a traditional razor. However, it is a lot more convenient and can save you a lot of time. The second thing to consider is the type of razor you would prefer. www.headusnext.com

So what is the best head shaver? To answer that question we first need to understand that there are basically 2 main styles of electric head shavers. There is the standard electric razor that most people use to shave their face, and then there are hair clippers that barbers use to cut hair. The style of shaver you use for your head really depends on how close you like your shave. If you prefer a smooth to the touch shave, then nothing is going to beat a regular razor and some shaving cream. A lot of guys like using the headblade. I don't personally like this option for a couple of reasons. First, it takes time to lather up your head and shave it manually. Even once you get good at it, it takes forever to get every patch, and I get annoyed enough at having to shave my face, let alone my entire head. Second, I don't really like the look. In my opinion, you have to be pretty tan (which I am) and also pretty well built to be able to pull it off without looking like a hospital patient, or a weakling. Of course, if you like it, then more power to you!

Using an electric head shaver is ideal if you like to have a fairly close cut, without getting skin close, and don't want to spend the time shaving your entire head with a manual razor. You don't need to buy one specifically made for the head though. (Which is great because then you can just use one device to shave your head and face.) But when you buy your razor, just sure you go with a screen type razor as opposed to the rotary style blades. Rotary blades do not work as well on your head for whatever reason, I think it's because it doesn't make as much simultaneous surface contact as a screen.

Best Electric Shaver For Bald Head

The two best-selling and highest-rated electric shavers for bald heads are the Panasonic ES-LA63-S and any of the Braun Series 7. These are both excellent screen type razors, and will give you a nice close shave either wet or dry. There are a couple disadvantages to using an electric razor on your head. One is that it can cause irritation and burn to your scalp. So if you have sensitive skin, it might not be the best choice. The other problem is that these are fairly expensive, both being well over $100 bucks.

So if you don't want to spend that kind of money, but still want something that will save you time while still providing you with a good cut, then go with a pair of hair clippers. There are some specially made hair clippers for bald heads. The best one I have found is the Wahl Professional 8110 5-star Series Balding Clipper. I personally use clippers myself and I love the length I get with them at their lowest setting. I never get any kind of irritation and it generally takes me less than 10 minutes to do my entire head (actually about 6-7 minutes on average). To me, clippers are the all-around best head shaver for men or women.

Remember that your skin will take time to adjust to using an electric razor, so you want to make sure you use it for a while to see the best results. Likewise, if you go with a traditional blade or hair clippers, then it will take some time and practice before you get good at it.
