How to Create a Yu-Gi-Oh Elite Deck

Everybody despises defeat. When we fail once, we are humbled; when we fail again, we are forced to evaluate ourselves. Consecutive failures may crush the spirit and cause us to lose interest in something we care about. In the worst-case situation, it leads us to submit, to leave, to resign from what we once loved.

However, often, what we need for success is something so basic. It may be luck, or it could be a matter of devising a strategy to beat the adversary. However, what if it's even easier than that?

What if the secret to success is found in the cards we have, in the rearrangement of those cards, and in establishing the habits necessary to acquire the cards we require? Understanding how to handle the decks you currently own and how to acquire the cards you need can assist you in creating more competitive Yu-Gi-Oh decks.

1. Recall the Basics of Deck Construction

All training manuals that come with beginner decks cover the fundamentals. A Yugioh deck is composed of more than forty cards. Twenty of those spaces should be reserved for Monsters, ten for Spells, and ten for Trap cards, and any additional slots should preserve the 2:1:1 ratio. Often overlooked is the necessity of maintaining a deck of at least 40 cards.

If you can afford to add cards that increase your chances of drawing, it's even better since it brings you closer to the golden card.

2. Attend a tournament featuring rare Yugioh cards

Lottery Edition of the Black Luster Soldier Dark Magician Girl, Amatsu-Okami of the Divine Peaks, and Tyler the Great Warrior are just a few of the most sought-after Yugioh cards. If you're interested in attempting to get any of these very rare cards, visit the Troll and Toad website.

By owning such rare cards, you will have the upper hand when playing with your friends. Your friends won't be able to see what hit them.

3. Discard Anything That Doesn't Work

Assume you're playing a Harpie Deck to take advantage of their new support in the Lord of Tachyon Booster, or you're a bird lover with a penchant for bird ladies.

Whatever the case may be, you've gained a new card, Simorgh, Bird of Ancestry, and the card looks so great and has such wonderful benefits that you can't resist adding it to your deck.

There is just one catch: each time you draw this ideal card, it remains in your hand. It has no effect on your game. If this is the case with any particular card, discard it and replace it with another.

4. In Case of Doubt, Choose Staples

For those unfamiliar with the phrase, staples are cards that may be added to any deck to improve its performance. Whether it's a Spell, Trap, or Monster Card, staples cut across deck themes and will bolster your plan until you locate the cards required to aid in the operation.

5. Steer clear of Situational Cards

In a Dragon deck, most duelists struggle to decide between Stamping Destruction and Mystical Space Typhoon (MST). If you want to maintain a competitive edge, MST should always win.

When comparing two cards with identical effects, consider the following: "What roles would these two cards play in my deck?" Then consider which card performs that job most effectively. Naturally, greater competence comes from the ability to destroy a Spell or Trap Card regardless of the kind of creature on the field.

6. Become Familiar with Your Card's Rulings

It's always humiliating to play a fantastic card that you've been successfully playing for years just to have your opponent remark, "You cannot do that." Worse still, he involves the judge, who likewise says, "You should not do that." The rule throws your whole strategy into disarray; your deck will never feel the same again.

Before you invest in a card, ensure that its rules do not make it more of a hindrance than a help. Ensure that you either study the effects of your cards or consult a veteran or judge if you are ever unsure about the card wording. Even minor quarrels amongst friends should be resolved by an outside, more experienced person, even if your group reaches a rational agreement.

7. Conduct research!

To improve and enhance your abilities, you must arm yourself with practical information. It would help if you did research on decks similar to yours, spoke with others who play similar decks, and seek guidance from seasoned players. Your objective is not to replicate someone else's strategy but to incorporate elements from other methods to enhance your own.

The most fun aspect of the Yu-Gi-Oh cards is that everyone brings their own plan to the table and asks others for advice on how to improve their ability in a game you all like. Additionally, the twist you include into your deck may be the only winning aspect that others lack. By doing further research, you'll increase your understanding of the game, enhance your ability to recognize when other players engage in improper acts, and most likely make some new friends along the way.

To sign off

Making new acquaintances, going to new locations to meet people who have similar interests, and just pushing oneself make these difficulties worthwhile. Any game's existence and replay value are determined by its risk/reward mechanism. There are usually a few dangers connected with bullies, jerks, and loquacious pricks. However, if one is ready to go on a path of self-improvement, the benefits much outweigh the dangers, just as the Sun outshines the Moon.
