Safety tips every traveller should know if they are travelling for the first time

Completed your diamond painting and now thinking about how to frame it? Find creative ways to frame your diamond painting and add it as a part of your house décor.

Diamond painting is a great hobby, one that is time-consuming but really fun to do. It sometimes takes up to a month to complete a diamond painting properly and dry out. Once you have finished with your diamond painting, the next step is to prepare a frame for your painting.

You can buy several frames in the market but a custom made would be better suited for your diamond painting. To prepare a frame for your painting it is better to do it at home so that you can get the correct measurements for the frame. Take the necessary items that are required to frame the painting and follow the process for framing.

Gather the Important Items Required For the Frame

The first step is to gather all the necessary items that would be required for making the frame. You could purchase a kit for Diamond wooden frame stretcher bar. Diamond painting kits would contain all the items that you would require for building the frame yourself. The kit would have four wooden stretcher bars, 4 corner wedges, and 4 U nails.

Place The Stretcher Bars On The Painting

The next step is to position the stretcher bars on the backside of the painting. Place the painting face down on a plane surface. Make sure that the surface is completely clean and smooth so that the diamond painting does not get destroyed. Place the four stretcher bars at the perfect angles and right at the edge of the painting so that the frame is not tilted and straight on all sides.

Secure the Stretcher Bars Properly

After you have placed the stretcher bars behind the canvas make sure that the narrow portion of the stretcher bar is faced inward. After you have placed the bars at the proper angles secure them with the help of double sided tapes. Secure them in such a way that their angles do not get tilted and that they do not move during the rest of the process.

Curl Up the Corners of the Canvas

After the stretcher bars has been secured in place, it now time to remove the double-sided tapes placed on the stretcher bar. Once the tapes have been removed, curl up the four corners of the canvas so that they stick to the stretcher bar with the help of the adhesive. Press down on the corners so that they are properly secured in the bars.

Secure the Canvas with U Nails

After the corners have been curled into the stretcher bars, take the U nails and insert them in the pre-drilled holes present in the stretcher bars. Insert them by hand on all the four corners and then use a hammer to secure them properly in the stretcher bars. Be sure not too hit too hard otherwise it might break or destroy the canvas.

Complete the Frame by Fixing the Corner Wedges

Finally, attach the corner wedges into the four grooves of the stretcher bar. Take the help of a hammer to secure them properly into the four corners. Once the corner wedges have been fixed you can turn your diamond painting over to see of the framing has been done properly.

Make a secured frame at your home by yourself with the help of frame kits that you can find online on Colorelaxation. Frame your diamond painting and show off your talent to your friends and family.
