Tips for Better Meditation

“The goal of meditation is not to get rid of thoughts or emotions, the goal is to become more aware of your thoughts and emotions and learn how to move through them without getting stuck.”

– Dr. P. Goldin

Master the art of mindfulness with the holistic practice of meditation and involve completely in the present moment. Meditation is a blissful practice that keeps stillness intact within the midst of movements and chaos. Mediation is the training of the mind that bestows the power to get rid of the worries, to change a life and to improve it vastly. Meditation is awareness, a state where the mind becomes calm and your thoughts attain stillness. The practice is a way of enhancing spiritual energies, provides a life of wellness and takes us to the path of enlightenment.

Meditation is a practice of igniting awareness, keeping mind away from the distractions and train it to become more conscious of everything running in and around and not letting them affect you. The practice of healing and wisdom involves various techniques and sitting positions that help you to relax, rejuvenate, re-energize, and to develop amiable qualities like love, patience, forgiveness, compassion, concentration and generosity.

Being the ideal way of keeping you in a state of constant well-being, here we come with wonderful tips for better meditation and enhanced practice.

Prepare the Body

The first step you need to take to make your meditation practice mindful and better is practicing yoga. Yoga helps you to make your mind and body ready for the soulful practice of meditation and makes you able to sit in meditation for hours with full concentration. If your body is uneasy and mind restless, it can be a house of distractions. Join yoga in Delhi and learn traditional yoga forms like Hatha that prepare you for a mindfulness living.

Have a Purpose for Practice

The second step you take is to set the intention and ensure why you want to meditate. Having a purpose for the practice makes it easier for a participant to focus rightly on the aim and work passionately towards achieving it. Instead of contemplating randomly, meditate with a goal and bring peace to the self.

Create Time and Space

The more you chase the perfect moment, the more you push down the opportunity to indulge in the mindfulness practice. So it is advisable to fix a time and practice every day without giving it a miss. Next, you need to find a peaceful space and practice daily sitting in the same place. The place creates its own energy and lets you connect with it easily, inspires you and adds a lot for a better experience.

Be Present and Let Go of Thoughts

One of the most important factors for an enhanced meditative practice experience is to train your mind to be happy and present. Happiness raises the consciousness to form unison with the cosmic universe. On the other hand, being present and paying attention to the breath helps you to come back when your mind tends to distract. When you sit quietly at a calm place with all the attention, thoughts are bound to flow and feelings will distract you but don’t stop your thoughts, observe, make a note and return back.

For Spiritual Enhancement

Meditation brings mental calmness, improves health, controls breath, stabilizes emotions and allows you to meet your spiritual being. The practice largely aims at unifying the being with the universal consciousness by bringing a sense of awareness and spirituality. To focus widely on the aspect try to involve these three major aspects – Guru, Mantra and Mala.

Guru plays an important role in the path of meditation practice and guides you in the right direction by accessing your strengths and weaknesses. He/she lets you dig up the knowledge that is already within you and helps on the path of enlightenment.

You can also chant a Mantra – a set of sacred words to connect with the cosmic energies and consciousness. Chant a simple mantra like Om or Soham. You can also consider using mala – sacred thread of 108 strung beads to count a mantra.

Choose a comfortable meditative position, desirable technique and start the practice. Learn the enhanced techniques with meditation and yoga in Delhi.
