What are Hydraulic Pressure Valves?

Pressure Valves

The technological advancement has made our life much easier. One such example is the invention of hydraulics. With the help of hydraulics today we can perform several difficult tasks very easily without putting much effort.

For the purpose of understanding what a hydraulic pressure valve has let us first have a proper look at what a hydraulic valve is. A hydraulic valve can be best described as a mechanism that helps in directing the flow of the liquid. In most cases this liquid that needs to be directed is oil. The direction of the liquid in the hydraulic system is determined by the position of the spool.

It is very important to understand that a hydraulic system will work properly producing full power and efficiently only if the valve is in proper working condition. Hence having a properly working valve is very important in the hydraulic system. The valves are available in a variety of sizes and should be chosen according to the prescribed dimensions mentioned or the load that the hydraulic system can carry. We have to ensure that we choose the best valve for the hydraulic system so that the system works properly.

There are many different types of hydraulic valves namely, hydraulic pressure valves, hydraulic flow control valves, and hydraulic directional control valves. The hydraulic pressure control valves can be best described as a valve that gradually or suddenly changes the position. The hydraulic pressure valves are used in the hydraulic systems to ensure that the pressure can be regulated as per need. The pressure in valves is often either pre determined or variable in nature. There are a number of types of hydraulic pressure valves available.

Different Types Of Hydraulic Pressure Valves

Since the working of each hydraulic system is different, we also have different types of valves for each system. Hydraulic pressure valves have different types of pressure valves for different systems. The hydraulic pressure valves are names of three types, one hydraulic pressure relief function, two hydraulic pressure reducing function, and third hydraulic pressure fixed throttle valve. Let us have a look at the working of these different types of valves.

Hydraulic Pressure Relief Function Valve

These are the most common types of hydraulic pressure valves. As said previously all hydraulic systems function differently therefore you may also notice that the hydraulic pressure control valves are functioning differently for each system. Therefore it is important for you to analyze this different function so that you can easily install the required type of valve. The valve is great for protection against overloading for circuit components and helps in limiting the force exerted by the linear actuator or motor.

Hydraulic Pressure Reducing Function Valve

Unlike the relief hydraulic pressure valve, this type of valve affects the output pressure. This type of valve is normally used to maintain a certain level of secondary pressure. Therefore with the help of this pressure reducing function valve, you will be able to reduce the pressure of one valve in the system which is at a lower pressure.

Hydraulic Pressure Fixed Throttle Function Valve

These valves are responsible for gradually or suddenly switching the pressure in the hydraulic system. These are basically done at a predetermined level and not at a variable level.

Therefore as you can see that these are the different types of valves that are present for usage. It is important to identify the right kind of hydraulic pressure valves for your system. And if you do not have any idea about the hydraulic pressure valves it is recommended that you hire a professional who can help you with this.
