The connection of wires with electricity seemed to be inseparable.  Although not visible, we are sure that it is hidden somewhere behind the concrete of the building.  And we have the habit of pulling the charger wire from time to time to charge the battery of the mobile phone. But the world is moving towards a wireless future. Internet connection now relies on Wi-Fi. Listen to music on wireless Bluetooth headphones.  Now wireless charging system is also becoming popular on mobile phones.

Nikola Tesla showed in 1890 that it is not essential for the transmission of electricity.  Using two copper wire coils, Tesla showed that at maximum charges, voltage can be transmitted from one coil to another coil at a certain distance.  Lightning can also be seen in the clouds like lightning.  His ‘Tesla Coil’ exhibition shocked everyone at that time.  However, commercial use began more than a century later.  With the help of that technology, it is possible to charge our smartphones without it. The main goal is to build a wireless world is the future of wireless charging technology.

Wireless chargers can be used to charge phones of any size and shape.  Their use is not limited to smart phones. With the recent wireless technology most of the electronic devices can be charged without any wire or electronic connections. If we use multiple device charging stations, we can easily charge our smart phones, laptops, tablets, etc.  As a result, we can get rid of it and adapters in our home and office. While these wireless chargers have advantages, they also have some disadvantages.  So when you think of buying any of these you need to find all their difficulties.  Their functionality has not yet become like that of a conventional charger.  As a result, the charging speed is greatly reduced.  They emit more heat than other chargers.

Samples of Wireless Devices

There are many devices which can be wireless such as Cordless phones, tablets, phones, Bluetooth mics & keyboards, radios, TV remote controls and GPS systems. Other wireless devices include wireless routers, and other electronic devices that don’t use wires to transmit information.

How to charge mobile phone without it.

  • Phone and charger must be near: Phone should be placed on or near the wireless charger.  Nearly not more than 45 millimeters away.
  • Magnetic charging plate:  The charging plate of the wireless charger is connected to the power source.  If the mobile phone is placed on it, the connection is established with the help of a magnet.  Inductive energy flows from the wireless charger to the mobile phone with the help of a magnetic field created by electricity.
  • Connection between coils:  When the magnetic field between the mobile phone and the charging plate transports the voltage to the phone, it is charged.
  • The main ingredient: The sending coil of the charging plate and the receiving coil of the phone should be kept close.  Mobile phones need to have coils for wireless charging technology to work.

Forms  of Wireless Charging Standards

  • Ki cordless kitchen standard
  • SAE stand

Advantages of Wireless Charging Technology

  • Secure method of charging your device.
  • Reduces the complexity of cords and adapters.
  • Minimizes the chance of electrical and device failures.
  • Reduces the devices’ overheating problem.
  • Universal compatibility as Qi charging is a worldwide standard.

The tech experts, researchers & according to  Market Research, Wireless charging system as well as the worldwide wireless charging market was valued over $6.5 billion in 2018.

This global wireless charging market size is estimated to be more than $30 billion by 2026 and the experts are expecting this technology to reach $40.24 billion by 2027.

Although the pandemic was so crucial for all the businesses, it has brought the attention that this new era needs to improvise and most inductive based technologies are removing wires from the charging process and they are trying to eliminate the hassle of plugging in devices and replacing batteries.

By 2030, we can expect a major change in the charging processes & wireless charging could be the base of all these changes.
